Of course, I can't be an expert in all things relating to technology. That is why I have been carefully building relationships with the experts. Call me FIRST and I make sure the right people get your job done. Think of it this way: When you take your automobile in to the dealer who do you meet? The Service Manager. You don't meet the highly skilled tune-up specialist or the apprentice or the car wash person. Nope. You meet the Service Manager.

Why the change? It is ironic that, when the "personal computer" (PC) for business first came out in the 1980's I helped a lot of businesses with setting up their accounting system and training staff in wordprocessing. It wasn't long before I joined a programming company. The reason was my unique combination of programming skills AND business knowledge. We saw hundreds of cases where a business had to track a lot of facts, data, and report on it or analyse it (turn it into information.)

In those days the cost of programming was high but so was the hardware. As the technology advanced prices dropped and there was a rush for everyone to get accounting and wordprocessing. So that was the kind of support I provided.

However, during the past five years accounting and wordprocessing has really matured. Almost everyone can at least get the basics done. Most firms are missing out on the 'extra' features but they are generally happy. The latest versions of Windows® software has made it easier than ever to connect several computers and share data. The educational institutions have been producing a number of technicians capable of setting up a basic system.

And so we come round full circle to where it started. Once again my wide training in both BUSINESS knowledge AND TECHNOLOGY issues means I am able to provide a valuable service to your business. That is, the ability to suggest the wise application of technology OR when to avoid it!
